Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
West Bengal Governor Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose has been admitted to the Command Hospital after reportedly falling seriously ill on Monday morning. According to initial medical assessments, the Governor is suffering from a heart blockage, prompting urgent medical attention and consideration for a possible transfer to another advanced medical facility.
The news of the Governor's health concern has sparked widespread attention, especially since he had been actively involved in relief work just days ago. On Friday, he had visited a relief camp in Malda to meet families displaced by the recent communal violence in Murshidabad. Remarkably, he had traveled by train to reach the location, showing personal commitment to the victims’ welfare.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who was scheduled to visit Paschim Medinipur, made a stop at the hospital to check on the Governor’s condition. After her visit, she briefed the media briefly and assured that all necessary instructions for the Governor’s care had been given to the Chief Secretary.
